Prior to joining OP Lawyers LLP, Imtiaz served as a Senior Associate at a reputed law firm in Calgary, where he led the corporate practice, and conducted litigation in commercial, employment, and civil disputes, and conducted judicial reviews of tribunal decisions and immigration refusals. Before commencing his practice in Canada, Imtiaz practiced law in Bangladesh for nearly a decade, advising on investment laws, infrastructure project financing, and regulatory compliance for foreign and domestic investors, particularly in the power and energy sectors, representing clients across Asia.
Imtiaz is also experienced in public interest litigation, having provided pro bono legal services on constitutional and family law matters through pro bono organizations in Bangladesh. His academic background includes an LL.B. from the University of Sussex and a Bar Professional Training Course from City University London.
